For many years obstruction beacons, or mast lights, have been lit with expensive neon lighting. Using cutting edge technology, Delta Obstruction Lighting have produced a system using High Flux LEDs.
The WL 2000 is a medium intensity omnidirectional obstruction light which meets the requirements of the ICAO and CAA.
The light is designed for long life, low maintenance and is therefore ideally suited for positions of limited access.
The WL 2000 utilises an entirely new concept in light element, that of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).
Light intensity achieved is well in excess of the required 2400 candelas.
Because of its unique design concept, the WL 2000 has low operational costs, low power consumption of 144va and an objective element life of 50,000 hours.
The lower power consumption of the WL 2000 enables the unit to be operated on solar power, an obvious advantage in environments where power supplies are not readily available and in under developed countries.
The design concept of the WL 2000 means that there is no requirement for PT correction units.
A stand alone version is available with integral photocell. This type of fitting is suitable for obstruction marking on airports.
