CASE HISTORIESThe Client Forth Rail Bridge, Scotland
Today, the Forth Rail Bridge is Scotland’s biggest ‘listed’ building. It continues to form a vital artery in Network Rail's East Coast railway system and it carries 180 - 200 train movements per day. The Brief The brief here was to design, develop and install an Aircraft Warning Light (AWL) system, with all installation work carried out at height. The Delta Difference The Forth Rail Bridge has a restricted access adding potential complications to any work carried out. Due to the location of the bridge, over a large body of water, the team were subject to adverse weather conditions. A structure of this nature is testament to the product and installation quality of ridged, durable lighting applications.
Delta Obstruction Lighting's sister company Delta International, specialise at working at height. The solution here was to combine the expertise of both teams allowing trained staff to operate successfully in an unsympathetic location. Our strong links with specialist access personnel gives the Delta Group the ability to work together as a highly specialised workforce. |
