PETERHEAD POWER STATION

 The Brief

To inspect the chimney lining without operational disruption to the boiler output.

The Delta Difference

Having our self contained on-line monitoring system/winch operated by a wall mounted crane, we were able to inspect the material condition of the masonry lining without disrupting the normal operational performance of the stack.

From the captured data we were able to determine the physical condition of the lining and compile a detailed report; in this case, no evident deterioration was found within the fabric.

Over recent years the on-line monitoring system has been used on some of the largest refineries and power stations in the UK, typically being exposed to forced draught gas streams in excess of 4000C.
